November 19, 2025 - 11:00 am - 1:00 pm PST

This presentation will guide healthcare professionals and attendees through the fundamentals of identifying a qualified mold inspector, understanding different mold testing methodologies, and interpreting results through the lens of environmental science. We'll explore how to distinguish between testing methods used in the field, their respective strengths and limitations, and how to apply the scientific method to residential mold investigations. Attendees will also learn how to correlate clinical findings (such as the presence of specific molds or mycotoxins) with environmental sources by understanding fungal ecology - for example, knowing that Stachybotrys thrives in high-moisture, cellulose-rich environments, but not HVAC systems. Common indoor molds will also be discussed to help bridge the gap between clinical diagnostics and environmental assessment.
