"Intestinal Fungal Overgrowth: Fungal Diet, Fungal Supplements, and Medications"
1.5 General (Total 1.5 CE)
Intestinal fungal overgrowth is an underdiagnosed very common problem in patients. Multiple etiologies such as antibiotic use, birth control pills, poor diet, alcohol intake (and others) can allow overgrowth of various fungal species in the colon and/or small intestine. Intestinal and systemic signs and symptoms can help a physician desire further investigation. This lecture will go over physiology and species of fungal organisms in the gut and describe testing options. This lecture will give detailed protocols for treatment and follow-up. At the end of this lecture participants will be able to feel confident with the entire entity of intestinal fungal overgrowth.

This 90-minute presentation explores the pivotal role of nutrition in supporting women through the menopausal transition and beyond. Rooted in current research and clinical application, this session will review hormonal changes during perimenopause and postmenopause, examine key nutrient needs, and evaluate dietary patterns and nutraceutical interventions shown to influence symptoms, metabolic health, and long-term disease risk. Special attention will be given to individualized, culturally aware strategies that align with the diverse experiences of menopause. Practical tools and case insights will empower health professionals to confidently integrate nutritional support into their patient care protocols.

“Insulin Resistance: The Chronic Condition Defining Our Time”
1.25 General, 0.25 Pharmacology (Total 1.5 CE)
Insulin resistance is a defining pathology of our time, underlying a staggering array of chronic diseases including metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease, PCOS, infertility, cognitive decline, and more. Yet, it often goes undetected until overt dysfunction arises. This lecture equips naturopathic physicians with the tools to recognize, assess, and intervene early in the trajectory of insulin resistance. It integrates updated pathophysiology with pharmacologically active botanical and nutraceutical interventions, and emphasizes the importance of circadian biology, Ayurvedic insight, and psychometabolic resilience. Attendees will leave with clear clinical tools, therapeutic rationales, and reframed perspectives on how to support metabolic recovery through both modern science and traditional healing paradigms.
Bio: Dr. Virender Sodhi was born in Himachal Pradesh, India. From a very early age, Dr. Sodhi knew that he wanted to be a physician and would go to the village doctor feigning illness in order to procure remedies that he could take home and put into his "doctor’s kit". This passion for healing led him to receive an MD in Ayurveda from Dayanand Ayurvedic College in Jalandhar, India in 1980, and then in 1986, he came to the West to share Ayurveda as part of a cultural exchange program. In 1988, he graduated from Bastyr University with a degree in Naturopathic Medicine.
He was the first Ayurvedic and Naturopathic physician in the United States. Dr. Sodhi treats thousands of patients from the United States and around the world. He lectures extensively throughout the U.S. and other countries including New Zealand and Australia, as well as conducting classes and seminars in Ayurvedic Medicine. He also writes regularly about the latest Ayurvedic science updates and has also been featured in the Townsend Letter, NDNR and many other publications. Recently, he was appointed as an official advisor of Ayurveda to the government of Australia. Dr. Virender Sodhi is CEO of Ayush Herbs, Inc. and brings a fervent passion for the wisdom of Ayurveda to his practice as well as his personal life. It is that passion that drives him to continually develop new formulations using the latest research and technology available.
In his free time, Dr. Sodhi is avid about his regular workouts, loves to be with his family, enjoys cooking and any out of doors activities such as hiking, boating and picnicking. He is a deeply committed member of his church and community.

“Pharm to Farm: Naturopathic Strategies for GLP-1 Therapy”
1.25 General, 0.25 Pharmacology (Total 1.5 CE)
This CE webinar provides healthcare professionals with practical strategies for using dietary and herbal support to complement GLP-1 agonist medications in patients with type 2 diabetes. The session explores how targeted food choices, nutritional supplements, and specific herbal therapies can enhance the effects of GLP-1 agonists, potentially helping patients achieve better glycemic control, manage weight, and address inflammation. The course will also cover guidelines for supporting patients who express interest in tapering off GLP-1 agonists through dietary and lifestyle adjustments. Evidence-based recommendations and case studies will help clinicians apply these strategies in clinical practice to optimize outcomes for patients on or transitioning from GLP-1 agonist therapy.
Bio: Leah Linder, ND, is a writer, speaker, and educator on topics of natural medicine, dietary supplements, and medical foods, with a specialty in human microbiota and cognitive wellness. An alumnus of Bastyr University, Dr. Linder is a licensed naturopathic physician, the owner of her own private practice, and consults for several health and wellness companies bridging the gap between scientific research and healthcare in practice. Her guiding philosophy, “I don’t heal my patients; I teach them to heal themselves.”, underlies her passion for supporting individuals to take charge of their well-being, highlighting the importance of holistic education and self-empowerment on their journey through all stages of life.
