We are in a neurodegenerative epidemic. Current increased life expectancy trends in the United States project the number of people over 65 years of age to increase from the current 46 million to over 98 million by 2060. This increased life expectancy, in the absence of improved health span, has contributed to an enhanced prevalence of age-related neurodegenerative diseases, making Alzheimer’s disease and dementia the most feared disease in North America. In this presentation you will learn the role of genetics, endotoxins, and flawed nutrition in the metabolic etiology of AD and dementia, and why Big Pharma has failed to provide a simple “silver bullet” solution to these complex diseases. You will also learn a suite of universally accessible, simple, and cost-effective interventions that dramatically reduce the risk and/or delay the onset of AD and dementia.
