Our circadian system provides the connection between Nature and our health. Human physiology developed throughout history while we were embedded in the rhythms of Nature. Yet, with the wide adoption of electricity and artificial light, we’ve stepped away from the natural environment. Without strong environmental signals, our circadian rhythm can become muted. A less-pronounced circadian rhythm is associated with aging.
