"Rewriting the Recipe: Microbiome-Based Nutrition for Chronic Disease Relief”"
Presenter: Heather Zwickey, PhD
Original Date: May 2, 2026
This session explores how targeted dietary strategies can modulate the gut microbiome to prevent and manage chronic conditions. As research continues to uncover the dynamic relationship between diet, microbial diversity, inflammation, and metabolic health, microbiome-informed nutrition is emerging as a powerful clinical tool. This session will examine the mechanisms linking food, gut ecology, and chronic disease outcomes, and translate current evidence into practical, patient-centered interventions. Participants will gain insight into how personalized, microbiome-supportive nutrition strategies can enhance therapeutic outcomes in conditions such as metabolic syndrome, autoimmune disorders, and gastrointestinal disease.
