Hashimoto's Disease is the most common autoimmune condition in women of child bearing age and presents unique challenges through preconception, pregnancy and beyond. This lecture will review proper assessment and monitoring for Hashimoto's patients through their fertility journey, as well as how this condition can affect ovarian reserve, miscarriage rates, birth outcomes, and post partum conditions including post partum anxiety/depression and post partum thyroiditis. Finally, we will explore evidenced based treatment options. You will leave this lecture with a solid understanding of how Hashimoto's affects pregnancy and learn how we can best support our patients at each stage of their journey.
