Supporting Pregnancy Loss, and Recurrent Pregnancy Loss: A whole-Person Approach

Supporting Pregnancy Loss, and Recurrent Pregnancy Loss: A whole-Person Approach

Presenter: Zeynep Uraz, ND
Original Date: April 12, 2026

Pregnancy loss affects up to one in four pregnancies and carries profound physical, emotional, and relational consequences. Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) presents additional layers of complexity, requiring a nuanced, multidisciplinary approach. This presentation explores evidence-informed naturopathic strategies for supporting patients through both first-time and recurrent pregnancy loss, with emphasis on whole-person care. We will examine conventional evaluation and management, highlight key modifiable risk factors, and integrate nutritional, lifestyle, and mind-body interventions. Particular attention will be given to balancing empathy with evidence-based clinical practice. Participants will leave with a framework for collaborative care that supports both immediate recovery and future fertility outcomes.
