Stress is modern day reality which affects our bodies through a range of physical processes that impact nutrition and are impacted by nutrition. Stress also outwardly affects us through varied means including patterns of eating, growing and procuring food down to specific food choices to food preparation. Dr. Falk will take a closer look at these puzzle pieces of stress. She will move from a physical look at stress and digestion to the microbiome itself and then connect back to nutritional issues of macro and micro nature including basic food habits. Her goal will be to help situate us to help others with microbiome sustainability through addressing the relationship of stress and nutrition.
