Dr. Hollon (ND) and Dr. Hoefer (PhD) will present on their recently published paper: The Role of the Human Gutnome on Chronic Disease A Review of the Microbiome and Nutrigenomics. The paper connects Nutrigenomics and the Microbiome. Nutrigenomics (also known as nutritional genomics) is growing field. It is broadly defined as the relationship between nutrients, diet, and gene expression. The paper (co-written also with Jennifer Campbell) connects dots of the links between nutritional interventions, pharmacological interventions, chronic conditions and genetic information drawing in the main on Dr. Hollon's work with autoimmunity issues, MTHFR mutations, fertility, naturopathic cancer support and neurological issues.
