Pain of Vertebral Origin: The Most Common Patterns Seen in Clinical Practice

Presenter: Payson Flattery, ND, DC, DAAPM

Original Date: July 22, 2018

Clinical practice often presents challenges in effectively diagnosing and treating pain originating from the vertebral column. The spine refers pain in a few complex yet predictable patterns to the upper back, shoulders, hips and lower extremities. These patterns offer a road map back to pathological spinal segments. Once the spinal segment is identified this pain can be effectively and comprehensively treated. If the spinal segment is not addressed only transient reduction in symptomotolgy is experienced. This lecture will give the clinician effective diagnostic criterion as well as multiple treatment modalities for more successful outcomes.
