This discussion's objective will be to understand better the presentation and treatment of encephalopathies in our patient population. I will go into the leaky brain barrier, leaky gut, and the integration of treatment modalities. We will also go over the labs that are helpful in treatment and diagnosis. It is also important to know how to navigate PTSD, extreme symptoms making it hard to know where to start, and stressors within the patients/their families that can be a barrier to forward movement with therapies.
