Both amateur and professional athletes strive to achieve peak performance, pushing their bodies, spirit and emotions to the nth degree. Diet and supplementation play a key role in supporting this goal in a healthy way. Sport injury recovery requires different dietary protocols and supplementation to speed healing and protect the body and brain from tissue degeneration. This presentation highlights key performance enhancing dietary protocols and guidance for improved recovery through diet and supplementation. Although this presentation centers on athletes, the principles of this lecture can be applied to all patients who want to remain healthy even though they have a family history of chronic disease, and for those who have had an injury or traumatic event.
